About Us

Our Story & Track Record

Dot to Dot was founded in 2015 by Simon Pickering who has worked in the public and charity sector for over 20 years. Simon wanted to develop a better offer for those working in the sector by providing bespoke training and consultancy with a fresh, unique approach.

We’ve grown significantly since then – in terms of footprint and impact. Simon, working with a small yet tenacious team, have helped our clients to raise in excess of £10 million through grant & trust income, fundraising appeals & campaigns, high net worth donations and social media expertise.

Through our wide range of training programmes, deep-dive consultancy sessions and bespoke Social Impact training, we create the right environment for your fundraising team to make the difference that matters.

Our services page delves into the evaluation, strategy and developmental support but if you’d like to learn more about us, or discuss a commission you currently have, please get in touch via the contact page.

Pro-bono Work

We are committed to making social change an achievable concept; we commit a percentage of our time to supporting Charities & Social Enterprises whose mission and cause we feel passionate about.

Please do get in touch if your organisation would benefit from our pro-bono based support.

We also host a podcast

In between client work, Simon co-hosts the This Much We Know podcast with Murphy Hopkins-Hubbard, Enterprise Development Manager at Homeless Link. They share the very essence of what it takes to build a social enterprise; the good, the bad and those face-palm moments. Their curated line-up with social entrepreneurs have real-life learnings on what it takes to build an impactful enterprise – we guarantee you’ll come away with a new found zest for fundraising strategy (or at the very least, a knowing smile on the highs and lows of social entrepreneurship).
